Option One Appraisal Services is a leader when it comes to technology
Here at Option One Appraisal Services, we always strive to be on the forefront of appraisal technology. We use the latest technology available today to complete your appraisal without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
If you asked a typical group of appraisers, most would agree that appraising is more complicated than it used to be. Cutting corners on analysis isn't an option for an ethical appraiser. So, the logical place to save time is in our daily workflow. We strive to be the very best, and we've found that using the very latest in new technology allows us to bring you more accurate reports in less time and of course, the very best in customer service.
Way back when, a great deal of orders were delivered via fax and were confirmed with phone calls once we got back into the office. Often, in this scenario, it might of taken far too long to hear back to see if the order could be taken. Things are quite a bit different now and when an order is placed on the site, we get a text message on our phones. We can even log into this site from the field and send back an e-mail confirmation – including the time and date for the inspection if we've been able to talk to the occupant.
Innovating the Ordering Experience
When you order from Option One Appraisal Services you can expect us to be concerned about your deadlines. We use our resources to reduce waiting between communications since the speed at which we get things done directly effects your bottom-line. This website definitely reduces cycle time for us and our clients by enhancing our communications.
Option One Appraisal Services is a pioneer in efficient data gathering
Gathering the data for an appraisal is a demanding process. We spend a great deal of time obtaining the facts on the subject property and the local market data and trends. Once again, technology has stepped in to help Option One Appraisal Services.
We've learned that taking notes the standard way, using pencil and paper, generally takes longer since we we have to enter everything back in at the office. Don't be surprised to see us with a tablet PC or collecting data using an app developed for our phones that even lets us sketch a floorplan right on the spot. And instead of using an outdated tape measure, we're seeing that more appraisers are beginning to use laser measuring devices that are quicker, more accurate, and can get into places that normal tape measures have always had problems with.
We combine all of these different technologies to ensure that your final report is complete and conclusive. This works to both our advantages by necessitating less time for call-backs and revisions. A real money saver for busy appraisal clients.
Modern appraisal report delivery ensures our clients have a number of ways to get their report
At a very minimum, you can expect us to deliver your final report electronically as a PDF. Most of our clients prefer e-mail because we're all accustomed to getting attachments like PDFs in our mail. It's a lot faster than the old days when everything was on paper. But, we've even been able to improve on e-mail with how you receive your report with this website.
Everyone knows how frustrating it is to lose a file. Or have you ever had an attachment blocked because it was too big? We have the technology to overcome those problems, too. When we deliver an appraisal through this website, the client is e-mailed a download link to retrieve the PDF. So, at that point, it doesn't matter if all the extra photos and maps in the report result in a large file that would normally be blocked by e-mail. And the best thing is that the file will be hosted on this site for 90 days. So if anything happens to the file, you can log back in here and retrieve it again without even calling us or waiting for us to get to a computer so we can send it again.
Finally, we use all digital workfiles...
It would probably be easier if appraisers could complete an assignment, deliver it and never worry about seeing that document again. But one of the purposes of an appraisal is as a legal document outlining the condition of a property on a specific date. Therefore, appraisers must keep their reports for 5 years, allowing them to recall any appraisal at any time to either defend the valuation or to be used in other legal proceedings.
Here again, Option One Appraisal Services leverages our embracing of technology to improve service. We store every part of the appraisal - notes, sketches, supporting documentation and calculations - along with the appraisal electronically, we can pull up the entire file whenever it's needed and recall precisely what that report was about.
We just wanted to give you a little bit of insight into how we use our technology daily. Using the right tools, along with the appraisal know-how that you've grown to expect allows the appraiser to save time without cutting corners and deliver a better product to you, our client.
